Great job on the service project! Almost 20 Scouts, Scouters & parents helped with a very worthwhile service project. Troop 42 is known for it’s service-to-others and this project – originated by the Scouts – adds to that legacy, especially during the holiday season. Again, great job. – Mr. B

Congrats to the 13 Scouts and 5 Scouters who braved the winter conditions to camp for a couple of days at LSSR. High’s were about 28 degrees, but the low Sunday morning was 2 degrees. Brrrrr.
They earned their Polar Bear patches!

Hello Troop 42,
It’s an election year so Troop 42 will be doing a service project for the Douglas County Election Commission by helping ferry the ballot boxes from the cars to the building Tuesday night, Nov. 4, 2014. This service project – and troop fundraiser – starts at 7:30 pm and usually finishes about 9:30 pm or so. Parents and siblings are welcome to help.
The address is: 225 N 115th St, Omaha, NE 68154. Remember: This is south of the 114th and West Dodge Road intersection.
Mr. B – Scoutmaster.
Popcorn & wreath sales drop-off @ 6 pm at Dundee Presbyterian Church before the meeting.
Meeting time: 7:00 pm. Following the drop-off, the troop will go to the haunted house at Mangleson’s on South 84th Street. The cost is $6 per scout. A scout does not have to go into the haunted house. He can just ride along and listen to the screams and it will not cost him the admission fee.
